
USLA Secretariat swearing in: how it went down.
21st August 2024 marked a significant milestone for the Universities Student Leaders Association as the newly elected Secretariat, led by the Chairman and CEO, Albert Maloba, was officially sworn in during a ceremony held at the United Kenya Club Hotel. The event was attended by student leaders from various universities who were eager to witness the inauguration of a team poised to shape the future of student leadership in Kenya.
The Chairperson , in his inaugural speech, emphasized the importance of unity, innovation, and resilience in addressing the challenges faced by students across the country. He underscored the Secretariat's commitment to advocating for students' rights, enhancing the quality of education, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment within universities.
The swearing-in ceremony was a blend of solemnity and celebration, reflecting the weight of responsibility bestowed upon the new leaders and the hope for a progressive future. The event concluded with a reception, where attendees had the opportunity to network, discuss pertinent issues in the education sector including the contentious New Funding Model and the looming teacher's strike sharing their visions for the future.
